Recently upgraded my phone to a Simens SL55. It was nice and everything but not my kind of thing, so i gave it to the missus.
Instead I've now got the new generation Orange SPV E100. Brilliant display and lots of goodies etc. Liked the fact i could go on MSN and get my email.
Anyone got any links to good stuff for it?
I want an email prog which will let me attach files. Also - how do you send stuff via IR ? I can receive it fine...

Siemens SL55:
All good apart from battery life isnt wonderful if you're doing a lot - i.e. she was playing on a game yesterday and it was near flat in after an hour.
Keys can be a little troublesome as they are quite small and the top ones are up against the ridge where it opens. This is common for all of them according to the forums i looked at.
All in all a good looking, well featured phone!

My last phone was an SL55 - bl00dy great phone!!
Andy, the battery should've lasted longer than 1 hour!
The best thing is that it sync's to Microsoft Outlook (contacts, appointments etc) I used this an awful lot.
The MMC is very useful - I used mine to transfer big files (well, bigger than a floppy!!) to and from work - had a 64Meg card for it
Really good phone - the only downside was that it was a little fragile I broke 3 in 12 months (granted, one, my daughter decided to water the plants with it!!)
Also, you had to keep archiving texts to the MMC
A better phone is the S55 (with camera) - this is brilliant, and is what I've got now. Can't fault it - has the same functionality as the SL55, much more capacity, and the camera piccies are very good - I keep it it my glovebox just in case
I did look at the SPV, but after the SL55, couldn't bear the thought of having a housebrick for a phone!!! reminded me of the old Orange/Nokia 5.1 (?)
I didn't think the SPV was very well built either (IMHO) - the best thing is the screen and IE compatability, but not what I want from a phone.
Andy - contact Pete Croney (Scoobysport) - he's got an SPV and had loads of info/sites/downloads etc.....

Are you sure you had an SL55??? They were meant to be brand-new out?? Also on the club siemens site they reckoned its fixed memory.
And the new SPV is good, much quicker with better keypad etc. And its the same size as my 3330 i had before...

Yup its brill. Gotta love gadetry!
Got tons of apps for it now that i have turned off the MS Certification. Good the way you can use .wav for ringer.
I can now also send attachments by email which means no paying 35p to media message a piccy
Just a shame i had to go on to Orange!
