can i have 2 harddrives in my pc??

Hello
I have a very small harddrive in my pc at the mo,hey 4gig!!!!.could i just add another one to save me transferring data from one to another.
I dont like the thought of losing my data thats on the current one if something goes wrong when im transferring the data over
Im running windows ME

You can run a second hard drive either as a primary slave (on the same IDE cable as you main hard drive) or as a secondary master (on a second IDE cable)
It's usual though to have a CD drive which is usually set up as the secondary master
I would suggest buying a new HDD and setting that up as the master and installing windows 2000 on it as ME is about as good as a chocolate fireguard
Run your existing drive as the secondary and that way you don't loose your data

yep you can. i currently have 2 x 80 gig in my machine. you will need to set the jumpers on the back of the drives properly to get them to work. usually one is the master drive and one is the slave drive.

yes got a drive,not too tricky to install and configure.
Got something called disk wizard which helped to set it up(me being a plumber and all that!!)
Roll on DVD-R drive
