Changing an IP address in a DLL file
#1
Basically, to avoid development woes, we have an existing utility which calls a DLL file and by the looks of it, it has the IP address of a machine hard-coded. I need to substitute the IP address with another one, however they are of different lengths and so far, using a Hex Editor, it doesn't work.
Is there any other way to edit the DLL or EXE file (compiled in VB) so I can change the IP ?
Cheers

Some of that VB ****e can be decompiled
If you cant view it in a hex editor your probably out of luck, have you got documentation for all the procs and funcs in the dll?
Maybe something you can call in it, if not Ive got something called TDump which will show all the entry points in the dll and function names.
