when the power is turned on the PWR LED is constantly flashing, no connection established

any idea anyone?

has the modem passed it's working hours?

Which model modem ... do you mean an efficent networks adsl router 5861 ?

you given it a hard reset ( tiny microswitch underneath )

[caveat: you'll probably need to back up the firmware first]

I seem to recall these had a problem with the psu's though - so it may be more terminal.

A couple of the guys ( though I remember not who ) are more familiar with the en5861 than me.

basicly it's for kates office and their provider needs to know if the problem is in the modem to send an engineer there to repair it or swap it for new one, so I took it home as I have the same modem here and getting just the blinking PWR LED. So in theory I can say that the modem is the cause of trouble but wanted to be sure.

problem found, it was the power supply, so they came and changed it
