Xp Pro: Couple of easy questions (for the bright sparks!!)

On start up..it always wants a pass word or to skip it... Can This function be bypassed???
System registration.
Under System properties. general, Registered to***************
Can this be changed???. I've just bought the machine S/hand.
I like my old 2000 pro software!! I see Xp allows a 2000 pro type set up. Should i stick with this or learn about Xp fully??? Might get more into digi photography next year.

I am the same as you - I hate the default XP appearance -I think its a bit "tellytubby".

Windows 2000/XP
Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).
Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion.
To change the values of the RegisteredOrganization, RegisteredOwner, or ProductId, simply double-click on them.
