On start up..it always wants a pass word or to skip it... Can This function be bypassed???

System registration.

Under System properties. general, Registered to***************

Can this be changed???. I've just bought the machine S/hand.

I like my old 2000 pro software!! I see Xp allows a 2000 pro type set up. Should i stick with this or learn about Xp fully??? Might get more into digi photography next year.

Cheers

if you mean the appearance this can all be set up by desktop/rightclick/appearance - select windows classic, if you want to do the same on the taskbar right click on a blank part of the taskbar/start menu - select classic start menu.

I am the same as you - I hate the default XP appearance -I think its a bit "tellytubby".

Windows 2000/XP

Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).
Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion.
To change the values of the RegisteredOrganization, RegisteredOwner, or ProductId, simply double-click on them.
