Cheers DJDUNK

The main reason fro going for the NF7 is that it has onboard Gforce4 VGA

Need to get a new motherboard with 4USB2(rear) and 2(front) FOund an MSI one at a decent price.

Has anyone used this brand?? Was going to go for an ABIT one but thats way more expensive.

Cool

I've got a Max E2 or something like with the 845 chipset - Intel P4 to whatever

Done absolutely fine for me & I liked the ATA133 RAID on it for a bit of redundancy on my home server. I'm not into overclocking or anything, so I can't comment on that aspect. So far has performed faultlessly for 6 months

I had no end of grief with the MSI 746F Ultra, sent it back and bought an Abit NF2 board.

Yup, I believe so Chris. Why do you say that ?

The NForce2 chipset on my Abit board is far more stable

I'm not a big fan on Sis based motherboards at all, be they Intel or AMD. My experience is that they don't get close to the stability of Intel chipsets (well, exclude the i820) or say the GeForce for AMD.

I have a particular hate of the Sis boards that have video built in. Terrible performance and crappy drivers just to start with.

The NF7 is a great board IMO Thats cos I have one

If you can afford the extra it may be worth going for the NF7S with SATA support.
