Anyone else on wireless LAN here?
I bought a wireless access point and PCMCIA card today and got it all up and running alongside broadband inside 15 mins! expected to be sat at the pc all night as per usual with any new hardware install, so pleasantly suprised!

Took me about 5 minutes to set up linked to an ISDN router (no broadband here). Surf from the living room/garden/on the bog etc. Love it.
However, took about 3 days to actaully get it secure
Cheers

Ian,
Really, I put MAC address checking and a new SSID on mine in about 1/2 an hour. Turned on WEP in that time, but decided since to turn it off again.
What did you do that took so long?
(Plus, of course, even those 3 don't make you secure )
