IPC$ again
#1
Hi peeps,
Im just hoping someone can help me here. I have a COGNOS BI server and to make it secure I went a bit ott with the file system and share rights.
I can make all the users who use NT/W2K logon by adding them to the groups etc and then specifying the user in the domain (ie domainname\username) and mapping the drive to the lae file it works fine.
However when I try to map a drive or even browse the machine from a 98 client it says i must provide a password to logon to cognos\ipc$
even if the users exist on the cognos machine etc.
They can see and browse all the other machines in the domain except this one, they can see folders etc so its this one bl**dy machine.
Any ideas on remedying the situation ?
