like sudden strike/C+C games? try Blitzkrieg.

Have to say i was pleasantly surprised by this, if you liked sudden strike, or command + conquer type games then you should like this.
Its harder, has some VERY useful additions like the ability for artillery to lay smoke screens or suppressive fire whilst infantry crawls etc, all in all a VERY enjoyable game, highly recommended.
Graphics and sound effects are VERY good, its also quite challenging, have seen germans/brits/yanks/italians and russians and elements of each mission are random so it differs slightly each time you play the same level which is quite nice, more details here/
