Anyone know software that will copy the current batch of protected Audio CD's, I prefer to use copies in the car in case they get nicked but PC is struggling to copy one that's copy protected.

Arguably these CDs are the music industry's way of telling you to download music from the net as MP3s rather than paying for it.

Whatever the legal issues may be, I'd have absolutely no moral problem about downloading music I'd already paid for for the purpose of burning a CD for the car.

I'm just pissed off that I cannot copy it, I can probably rip it to MP3 but that doesn't play in the car. Bloody rubbish if you ask me .

If you can rip it MP3 you can then just use Nero to create a "normal" audio Cd that will play in your car.

You must remember that it is illegal to copy unless you have the original & dispose of the backup within 7 days!!

Therefore, to backup NOT COPY an original cd, you must first clone to your HD then burn onto a cd. WOuld recommend using either clone cd or Goldenhawk technology CDRwin.

Hope this helps.
