Have a file AUTORUN.INF on the root of the CD.

Paste the following into the file:

[AutoRun]
open=index.html

Not sure if it will actually work, but you can try it

Otherwise you can download a package here which will do it. 30 day evaluation

Haven't checked that link, but surely putting iexplore "d:\Index.htm" in your autorun.inf works just as well?

I think it tries running it as an executable. Which doesn't work.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what's req'd, but you certainly can fire up iexplore with the location of a webpage enclosed in quotes as a parameter and it works fine

Yah I tried putting in iexplore.exe index.htm but it didn't work - maybe I had the syntax wrong.. I'll have a look again tomorrow.

Try:

[autorun]
OPEN=Thing to Open
ICON=Icon to use (if required)

So for example, for an HTML page without an icon your Autorun.inf will contain this:

[autorun]
OPEN=index.html

If the HTML document is not in the root of the CD then use the relative path:

[autorun]
OPEN=/Setup/index.html

You do not put in the drive letter, e.g. d: becauase some peoples drives are not d:.

Also, just run the HTML document without an application listed. This way, whatever browser the user uses will start up and open your document. Of course, this relies on the type .html being registered as a document type (most systems will be), although you might be safer using a .htm extension instead.

YMMV etc. as I'm doing this from memory.

Cheers

Ian
