sending .mmf to nokia phone?
#1
Hi,
I have a new mobile phone that supports polyphonic ringtones. It is a Nokia 8910i, I have it connected to my laptop through infrared (dont have bluetooth adaptor on laptop) and I can access my phonebook, etc etc. So all is working.
Now what I want to do is transfer these .mmf ringtone files I have to the nokia - but I can't see how? I am using the nokia data suite 5.02. Bt all I can do is compose using the composer, or sync up with files, however nowhere can I see the option of "transfer this file to this directory on the nokia"
anyone know what program I can use, or how I can do it?

Any just seen this thread ... there is a nokia sound converter as part of the suite. That will upload to the phone. Not sure if it requires the cable. I have found the nokia's don't play and accept the polyphonics tones the same as other phones. Look for a different version of the suite

This is for the 6610 but if you look below it also support 8910.

Nokias don't use .mmf they use .midi, if you have a lot of .mmf files I'm sure there is a prog that will convert it to .midi, the nokia 1 won't it just converts to a lower channel .midi (samsung polyphonics r 16 channel Nokia is 4) but there are plenty of .midi files on the net anyway.
