Off to Oz in June, and will be taking a Nikon CP 5700 digital camera with me.

What storage options do I have for saving my photo's without taking a laptop with me, or buying loads of memory cards??

Any large capacity, portable drives I could download the images on to free up memory cards??

regards

Stu

There used to be a product called the DigitalWallet that you could download from CF cards into, but follow

www.mindsatwork.net and the people are no longer in business.

Does anyone else do a similar thing?

I've just ordered an Archos Multimedia Jukebox for this exact reason. It also plays MP3's, video files etc and has a colour screen! You can buy card readers for it for CF cards but apparently SD/Multimedia cards are coming soon. Have a look at Archos.com or they have them in PC World if you want to get your hands on one.

I got mine through Amazon in the US for $310 (inc next day post), I think it works out as about £195 its about £350 here (PC World) My dad is in the US this week so he's bringing it back for me

Edited to say its got a 20GB hard drive running it, so plenty of room!

Cheers,

Richard

Buy a libretto 50ct from ebay (<100 quid), put a 40GB hard drive in it for <100 quid, and have a fully featured PC to boot with a decent screen to review images.

yup, espescially if you get it in the US. If you do buy in the UK, there is a new model coming out next month which has better support for SD/Multimedia card.

Have a great trip - Oz is great fun

Cheers,

Richard
