Sorry quick excel question
#1
i want to put data into a spreadsheet and keep using the same cell (as im using vb to link to excel)
eg
cell A1 10
cell B1 10
Then when i type 5 into A1(2 replace the 10) id like cell B1 to change to 15(but its currently going to say 5, as 5 is in cell A1) , like cummulative data, i cnt find the formula for it tho.
Thanks

A 2 cell pattern doesn't help much - what do you want in the next cell ?
Do you want to just populate a range or have it dynamically update if you change the first cell ?
Try putting =A$1+A1 in cell B1 then select B1 and drack the little box in the right hand corner down. Cell C1 will then be =A$1+B1 & therefore 15 etc.
Is that what you want ?

Yeah i want it to continuously update.
i just tried your method and the a1 and b1 are adding to make c1 15 but then when i type say a diff number in a1 it calculated a1 plus b1 again and so the total in c1 is jus calculating the 2 cells and not adding it onto the total before which was 15.
i want it so as that i can press 1 in cell a1 and then tab then 1 again and the total goes up etc
isnt there a way of doing =sum(add to total or somthing) etc

or put =sum(a2:a999) into a1 and point to a1 for the code.
a1 will always be the total of anything you put in a2 to a999
(if I have understood your questions correctly)
Dave.
