Any one use an xvid codec apart from nimo? Nimo seems to cause my computer to crash. Mate said about a program called AC3 or something.

Any ideas?

AC3 is the audio codec developed by Dolby which is used on DVD movies. You'll find some avi's use this codec to preserve 5.1 surround. To be able to hear the sound you'll need to install the codec which is freely available on the web.
