how do you split an mpeg or avi so that it can be burnt over 2 disks? is there something in nero to do it?

Use tmpgenc and split the file down into two files. Refer to www.vcdhelp.com or www.dvdhelp.comfor help on stuff like this.
Loads of apps out there to split files down and create smaller ones.

i havent done it myself in Nero but i believe i have seen an option for it though i suspect it will be for creating vcds. bear in mind it seems to be slower doing things in nero than external converters.
download the avi/mpeg plitter/joiner thatll sort it.
