Question

Whats the best home racking solution for 4 PC's and a server? I toyed with the idea of DIY but there must be products at reasonable prices out there, surely?

Any thoughts?

you can get small mini-racks that are about 2-3 foot tall.

Make sure it's quite sturdy, with a fan built in... less noise that way..

We have APW enclosed units at work. Does anyone know who distributes them in the UK?

If you've got the space, then I'd buy something like this

You can buy rack front rails very cheap - you then just need to mount them,

If its in the loft then its not too tricky to create a frame from 2x4 or 2x2.

I have a B&Q Value Kitchen cupboard in the loft( ) with two rails (2ft or so) to mount a switch and a couple of patch panels.

Sounds like the DIY route might be best in this instance then.

Wadsworth Electronics sell APW. They are based in Surrey - East Molesley?

APW themselves are based in Southampton.

I also sell cabinets if you are interested.
