Just got our home internet account set up, so will use Outlook Express.
Wifey has 100+ contacts from some years on hotmail, and wants to transfer them. But we can't see how to do it.
OE has the facility to import address lists, but we can't see how hotmail will let you save the contacts as a list.
EVEN THOUGH they're both Microsoft products!!!
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance
Brendan

Had the same problem a while ago with Hotmail to OE and ended up putting them all in manually.
I've just started using Outlook with XP which is far better and you can transfer your hotmail addresses in to it although it's not totally straightforward. If you are using Office XP then do the following:
Go to 'contacts' in hotmail, tick the box in the top left hand corner which will select all your contacts, right click, select 'Export to Microsoft Excel'
Follow the instructions that appear in the window on screen, a box will appear with the hotmail login page, log in and select contacts, a tick will appear by the list, click it and all your contacts will magically appear in the Excel spreadsheet!
Edit the spreadsheet to lose the empty column on the left and remove any bits you don't need then save.
Go to Outlook, File, Import & Export, in the Wizard select 'save from another program or file', click 'next', scroll down, select 'micrsoft excel', next, then browse to find your file.
Once the file is imported you'l have to map the first two fields then everything should magically appear in your Outlook address book
Well, it worked for me
However, if you've not got either Outlook or XP I think you have to do it all by hand but I'm not sure, I did 'cos I couldn't find any other way.

Sal, it is from hotmail to Outlook with XP Home, and it sounds exactly like what I need, many thanks , but I've fallen at the first hurdle - I can Select All, but I can't get my right click to generate Export to Microsoft Excel, or anything like it - no matter where I click!
erm... any more help?
