Hey guys, will be surprised if here is the right place for this, but....
I have 8 brand new 256MB Registered ECC PC2100 DDR Memory modules for sale. All Infineon chips, 4 on Infineon PCB's, 4 on Apacer PCB's
I was being silly a few month ago and started building another uber-server, but am happy with the server that I have now built and this made this memory useless to me.
My new main pc is costing an absolute bomb to construct putting it mildly, so time to sell this stuff on methinks
Normal pc users need not apply, as this is not the type of ram that 95% of your machines use.
Going on Crucial's current price for an identical size and type match is £48 inc vat and delivery, way less than I bought them for, but anyway.....
Anyone interested at £25 each inc recorded delivery?
Cheers,
Nick
P.S. Tango, will try to arrange something soon with you m8.

Pretty unlikely. You need to check with the motherboard manufacturer as to whether or not the board supports Registered ECC DDRAM. Also, you canot mix this stuff with standard ram.

Nick,
Will that memory work in;
http://www.asus.com.tw/mb/socketa/a7m266-d/overview.htm#
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/server/svr/pro_svr_detail.php?UID=73&MODEL=MS-6501
http://www.iwillusa.com/products/ProductDetail.asp?vID=19&CID=92
Looks like they are ideal for my purposes unless i am slipping
If so, put me down for 4 sticks and email me to discuss it - need to check about mixing sizes of memory in case i need more than 1 gig in new rig.

Nick, Just checked some forums that stuff seems to be the ideal memory for the dual rig i am building, even clocks well for the Iwill setup. So count me in, can i mix it though should i need more memory eg 3 sticks of 256 and 1 stick of 512 or pairs only or what?

The Asus board looks like it supports the exact same ram, I haven't looked at the others:
Crucial Specs - DDR PC2100 • CL=2.5 • Registered • ECC • 2.5V • 32Meg x 72
Identical to chips that I have in configuration.
As long as you use Registered ECC DDRAM only in the board, you should be able to use all 4 slots quite happily. However, Ideally, I would like to sell in pairs, but if you are sure you only want 3, then
Hux, will mail you today
Cheers,
Nick

Yep, sorry, 4 were sold off the board. Someone that had been umming and ahhing at the weekend, I thought had said no, then phoned me to ask how I wanted payment? I agreed to that sale unfortunatly, as he had been first
I will mail Huxley to see what he wants to do, feel really bad now, but not really a lot that I can do.
BTW, yhm back.
Cheers,
Nick.
