Whats the best PDA
#3
I have had the Compap Ipaq since they first came out about 2 years ago and dont know how I survived before. There are loads of bolt ons and software packages available such as sat nav, cameras etc, you can send and recieve email, surf the web etc which is usefull on holiday and out of the office. Its quite robust, been dropped a few times and regularly gets pinched by the kids to throw around.
Down sides, I've heard a few people complain about battery life though I have never really had a problem (apart from when I lost the power supply) I recently bought the additional network card jacket which comes with an auxiliary battery and if that fails I have a car charger which can also take a standard 9 volt battery so problem solved.
Also looks like a few specks of dust inside the screen which I believe has been solved now but was a problem on some of the earlier units.
Verdict - I'd definitely have another when I lose or break this one.
Cheers

What do you want to use it for and how much do you want to spend?
If it's just dairy, contacts and to-dos, something on the Palm OS is probably the way to go - Palm, Sony Clie etc. If you like Windows look and feel, with MP3 and video functionality, go for one of the new Pocket PC devices. There's loads on here.
Or if you want a real integrated device (phone and PDA), then this one's the kiddy.

SillySi - the others will just HAVE to come into line, because, as you correctly state - there IS only ONE player worth buying at the moment ............ and thats the DELL - it just destroys everything else at the pricepoint (and, in most cases, WELL above!!)
