Question

Has anyone tried to get a Microsoft Sidewinder PC wheel & pedals to work with an X-box?

I find CM3 far too twitchy with the standard controller, and CM2 on the PC (with wheel) was much more fun. Is CM3 on an X-Box (or other) made more playable with a wheel?

If I have to buy another wheel, which is best?

Cheers.

What sort?
How much?
Where are you?

Anyone think wheels are worth it for CM3? I have to get those times down somehow.

Bear in mind that the controller ports on the Xbox are USB connections, but with a Xbox-specific port.

Just to say I've been away for a while.

Dogmaul, I think I will try to get my PC wheel working so I hope you find a home for you wheel.

ScoobyDoo555, is your wheel USB connected, cos that's the only cable I can see on your link? Mine is 15pin game port so still looking.

And finally has any one noticed weired sector times in CM3. Finland stage two: was 25s up going into last sector which is almost flat out, yet I lost 30secs in this sector with an okay run through

Several other times seem weired - like the timing posts are in the wrong place... oh, and sarting stages with 30-40s on the clock seems a bit harsh.

Yep - USB connected

Don't know whether it will work though.

Dan

ps yes also noticed the stuff with CMR3 (with reference to teh CMR3 times thread ) did a really fast time - was up on all the sectors, yet still managed to lose out on the overall time. WTF!!!!
