Jack,
That isn't really in the spirit of warchalking is it ? I thought the game was that someone else chalks you and you have to keep rubbing out the chalk.
Well that seem to be the game around where my HQ is
Anyway, I would hate that. Go on a canal holiday for a week and then come across Jacks house. You could check your email, you could download the weather forecast. But no, you couldn't because you haven't taken your laptop because there are no phone lines on the canal (and the missus wouldn't let you anyway)
Jack, maybe you should put a PC out on the canal bank in a little shed and charge £5 an hour for surfing.
Cheers
Ian

Now that would be a laugh!
No WEP it realy is open. There's even a shared directory on one of my machines that passing strangers can use for file storage. "I didn't download that file, honest officer!"

Imagine if someone who ran a couple of boatyards and knew countless people on boats on the Grand Union was reading this....
I'll pass the word around, you'd be amazed at how quickly the Towpath Telegraph works
