Got his and played it on easy, though a good game:

- very buggy and prone to restarts (hit F5 regularly)

- can get caught between rocks if you go exploring and then cannot move again

- gameplay is good though somewhat like Halo on X Box as you chase after artifects

- forget this game if you have less than 384 ram, 128 meg ti 4200, and 2.0 processor

Wink

Havnt had this game crash on me yet (p4 1.8, gforce 2 mx, soon to be a 4200ti, 512meg) but you have to turn down some of the resolutions to get it to run nicely.
Is it worth buying?
I'll tell you later after ive stopped playing on it (a little hint there )

1st impressions. Fairly uninspring single player game. Nothing bad about it, but nothing outstanding either. Expect multiplayer to be a bit better (I hope). Single player not a patch on Medal of Honour, Deus X, Halo etc. Getting bored with it already...

IMHO of course....

Ah, you're correct of course. I hadn't actually looked yet, just launched straight into the game. I just assumed that it would have some sort of mp mode as pratically every other 1st person shooter on the planet has...

Just means this game has even less to offer...

I'm enjoying it so far, but there is nothing really revolutionary in the game play so far, although this is supposed to change in later levels (squad-based play on some worlds). There are some scripted sequences that are very good, and reminiscent of Half Life.

The Graphics engine is very good, and lighting effects are first rate. Use of 3d positional audio is excellent, especially if you have an Nforce-based m/b which permits dolby digital encoding.

There do seem to be some occasional crashes and inconsistent performance that I haven't quite got to the bottom of yet - could be the Nvidia 41.09 drivers I just installed, although these are supposed to be WHQL'ed.

Installed size is massive!

Cheers,

Alex

Couple of guys I know finished it in around five hours.

Poor for £40 IMO. I won't be shelling out for it.

I'm playing on normal difficulty and finding it damn dificult.

I prefere games with good single player setups, can't be arsed to go online and no one at home will play against me.

Here's what you do. Buy the game from EB or Game. Play it within ten days and then return it(ten days money back guarantee). Problem solved of forking out 34 quid.

I've played half of it. Its a good game but like everyone nothing revolutionary etc. PC Zone gave it 94%. Think that was a little too high. Running it at 1024 res on an Athlon XP1900 with Radeon 8500. Slows down occasionary.
