advice on coverting to dvd fomat

I,m looking for an easy to use software package to convert my avi,vcd,etc. films back to dvd format. I would like to make some use of my dvd burner and i,m having a few problems finding one can anybody give me some ideas please???

Why do you want to convert back to vobs ? Good luck

Why not keep them in their current format ?

The reason i want to convert them to dvd is so i can watch them on the tv using my dvd player.I will try your link, thanks.

nero works well i'm assuming it works with dvd writers in the same way as cd ones.

Question

barryc - Does your DVD player not play VCD's then ? Most do.

You will have extreme difficulty trying to get the data back into a vob file and will gain absolutely nothing in quality.
