Does anyone have any recommendations for any company that builds hardcore PC units? You know, the kind that are built with the snazzy boxes, water cooling/cryo cooling, neon lights etc?

You dont even need to "mod" a case nowadays, just buy a Lian-Li case with a sidepanel, then run a cold cathode in it, job done
www.extremecooling.co.uk and www.tekheads.co.uk has some good stuff and the best customer relations you can get (literally)

Thanks folks, that's just the kind of thing I'm looking for, keep them coming.
Was speaking to a colleague who overclocked his 2gb P4 to 3gb with the aid of refrigeration. I'm really interested in building a ******* PC.
As for the rest of you who don't see the point of it, why are you on this thread?

Cem,
People like moaning and whinging
If you fancy some ideas for a DIY job, there's loads of case mod sites. Why not build one inside a model Skyline body shell.

DMC12,
The cooling in this case is very effective, it comes with 5 fans -
2X front, 2X rear & 1X side.
They are all connected to a fan speed controller on the front panel with 3 speed settings.
The PSU has also got 2 fans in it, which are also temperature controlled.
The typical temp of my XP2200 at full load is 36oC
To be honest I haven’t tried overclocking it as yet, but it's something I'm going to have a go at though.
Mattski2,
For full data on this case visit www.thermaltake.com/products/caseMenu.htm
However, Thermaltake have just released the Xaser III - looks even better than the Xaser II I have!
Have a look at the Xaser III at www.thermaltake.com/products/Xaser3Menu.htm
The best place to buy these Thermaltake cases from is Dabs,
you can also get them from Scan & Aria.

Rob

There was a moderator on here with a PC built to look like a modded car, with wheels, spoiler etc.
It even had an aftermarket rev counter modified to display CPU useage in units of 1000RPM, it even blipped on 'CPU idle'.
I think it was ChrisB, but I might be wrong
I totally agree with modifying it for cooling purposes, but neons and spoilers GEEK

They aren't ****e, but they aren't the best either. Different looking certainly, but the design internally is not that great at all tbh.
I don't think you will like the better syetem, as it is built for pure brawn, not beauty. Saying that, some people have made the most fantastic, beautiful looking rigs with them.
Cheers,
Nick
