Anyone else having connection problems today, or just Pipex users?

Its like being back on dialup at the moment, thats when sites will actually load

So is it just me, or anyone else?

Mine was really slow yesterday (Freeserve ADSL), so I reset my router and then it wouldn't connect LCP No Response

Of course Freeserve were totally useless, so luckily it fixed itself overnight. Seems okay now.

There is a on-going problem with BT Radius servers where authentication of the routers fails first time and then the user account is disabled. Typically this is when the router is re-started. The way round it is to bring the router up and to enter the BT engineering test account

bt_test@startup_domain

with no password. This should bring the circuit up and then you re-enter your userid and password. Obviously you need to know your account and password info before trying this.

I've seen 8 or 9 ADSL installs with this problem over the last month or so.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the tip Jeff. I'll give that a go if it does it again

Seems to have speeded up a bit now - there has been a problem recently with faulty BT hardware as well according to the Pipex website. Not sure if that is the same thing Jeff?

It seems OK now - at least it makes you realise how good ADSL is
