Which USB Modem?

The broadband connection that I used to use at uni now no longer works due to the USB modem supplied not working on Apple Mac's.
Can anybody suggest a cheapish USB modem that is compatible with Mac's?
And where I can buy it?
I'd research into it myself but I only have internet connection for 2 mins a day...
