PS2 moral dilemma

Get the replacement mat and then get the game again on Ebay (or similar)

Problem time! I bought a PS2 dance mat package that includes a dance mat and the Jungle Book Groove Party game.
The mat has broken, one of the arrows doesn't register.
I spoke to Game where I bought it from and they will give me a refund, or replace the mat & game for another mat & game.
However the Jungle book game is discontinued, so I couldn't get that game, and it's the game my daughter loves.
I spoke to Thrustmaster who made the mat, and they don't make the mat anymore, but would send me a 'similar' product and let me keep the game, ie boogie board or something, but that won't work for my 3 year old!
So I spoke to Game central customer service who after speaking to the store said my option is a refund or replacement mat with Britney Spears game!!
So does anyone know
a) if I can get the jungle book game anywhere?
b) if I 'backed' up the game, would it work on my old PS2?
cheers,
Greg

I've tried that, everyone apart from Game thinks it's easiest! Apparently as it was bought as a bundle, they need to send it back as a bundle. The manager in the store has apparently spoken to various people to see if there is a way around this and there isn't.
