Cool

I have just bought a new Toshiba laptop and I also have a Panasonic GD87 mobile phone with GPRS enabled. I can link the two devices together via the Infrared ports no problem to swap info.
My problem arises when I try to get an Internet connection. Both are capable of internet access via the IR ports. I have the necessary Vodafone Connect Me software installed on my laptop. I am at the moment waiting for Vodafone to contact me which is not happening at the moment. The error I am recieving is as follows:

"Disconnected, Communication error when defining PDP context; The AT command is not supported"

Can any IT bods point me in the right direction as to the problem, as I have no idea what it could be?

Any help appreciated,

Craig.

The AT (asynchronous transmission i think) command string is what the Operating System passes commands to the modem with. It will contain things like the baud rate, data bits, stop bit, etc and the modem interprets this string and then does what it says, like rings another modem with the specified options.

I would say that your AT string is wrong, and the modem (phone) does not know how to interpret what is being passed to it.

Sorry i cant be much help in telling you exactly what it is.
