something similar did the rounds not long after the XBox release in this country.
By using your pc you could play Halo against other people over the net by fooling the xbox to thinking the other player(s) were on a lan link

Ok this is annoying me now [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] It sits there with the status 'looking for x-box'
Halo is in system link play mode, I have the link LED on the NIC, so the cabling is correct.

Does the lan link use a crossover cable ?
(no idea, just thought it might ) - try switching the cable to the x-port on your hub.
Also .. can you ping it ? is your pc on the same subnet ?
