I need to read from 2 .xls (or.csv) files that contain data & query then replace with a different set of data from the other file.....

file 1 has 2 columns: display name & mail address
file 2 has 90 columns that are e-mail group names, under these columns are display names that match file 1...
I need to replace all the display names in file 2 under the group columns with the full a-mail address from file 1 column 2

hope you all understood that.

any help appreciated on this one please

Import both files into Access.

New query, join the tables on the indentical fields but only show / output the two columns you want.

Export the query results to CSV.

Sorted.

really, you not interested in these types of films ??
the first 1 was a bit long & slow in parts, but the reviews on the second 1 seem to be a lot more action...

anyway, c ya later, I'm sure you got loads of moderating to do
