i use either cute ftp (very good tho a little ott) or for a real basic, dead simple, non resource gobbling monster try windows commander.
Very nice and easy to use and doesnt require 128 meg to run it![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Another vote for CuteFTP - I found it to be much faster than WS-FTP Pro...and things are just SO much easier.
Be alert about the programs you are downloading as some of the lesser-known ones may contain Spyware. Early versions of Cute contained dodgy add-ons.
I always check here if there's any doubt.

Andy, I downloaded this the other day as I needed a ftp client pronto so thought I try this one out. When the ftp tranfer completed the computer played a sound file of crowd cheering.
Well it amused me![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Because of the bandwidth selector - it was a life saver when we had to transfer 400 MB files to a server (from the US to Germany) over the company WAN without it saturating the network.
Also - is the only one I could get working reliably through the company proxy
It also looks pretty!

nar its ws. it tells me..
125 Using existing ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls (330 bytes).
transferred 330 bytes in < 0.001 seconds, 2578.125 Kbps ( 322.266 KBps), transfer succeeded.
Allow deletion of non-empty folders is disabled
answerd my own question i think
