Outlook express

Where do the downloaded express files reside? Can I simply copy the files to my new PC?
In full Outlook you can move the PST's around, but I can't find them in express.

They'll be somewhere like:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\[a very long number]\Microsoft\Outlook Express
or
C:\Windows\[your username]\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\[a very long number]\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Towser I think Marks right. If you want to check...
open OE..click on "tools" on the top menu bar, then "options".
click on the "maintenance tab.Click on the "store folder" button.
If you use windows explore , browse to the area..you will see
several .dbx files these are what you are looking for.
You can actually copy/move them to wherever you like
(closing OE first) , then after moving them , set OE ,
to look in the folder where you have moved them...
I have moved mine to a separate partition, so that if my windows
drive ever goes t!ts, i can repoint outlook to the correct place.
and its all there...same theory as using a pst file really.

Yes just use the Outlook Express options to point the mail files to somewhere you will regularly back up (eg. My Documents\Mail).
Works well for me as the default folders are horrible .
