thinking about it, just cant decide between that and Unreal Champ.
As I cant be rsed with Xbox live I guess Splinter Cell will be the better of the two.
Is it really that good?

When I was over in Copenhagen at the Microsoft conference, had a shot of a pre release of Splinter Cell on an Xbox. From five minutes of playing it, it looked most excellent!

ahh the penny has dropped.
This one I'm going to buy. I don't mind d/l some games but if it's a top notch game like Splinter Cell I think it's worth buying.
Although having said that I wish I'd d/l'ed CM3 cause the more I play it the worse it seems.

Oops, I forgot to mention that I am actually playing the US-version of SC. I don't know if the European version is out yet. The graffics/lightning effects are on another level!! OK, the gameplay is pretty linear, i.e. go through this hallway, end up in this room, go through next hallway, end up in the courtyard, etc.
Still, it's really cool to sneak around in the shadows and try to get through the level without being seen and caught. Remember, the developers intension was not to create another shooter, it's plain stealth here. I am currently in level 4 (out of 9) and used around 10 hours so far. I went through the first level about 8 times in a row, just to get a perfect score at the end (this should tell a lot about it's FUN-FACTOR). It's just plain FUN to play around with the guards etc. BRILLIANT GAME!!
