Had to reinstall to sort out the sound driver problem. I did an fdisk on the c partition and removed it. Now i reinstalled XP from CD and it found my existing D and E partitions but renamed them as C and D, so now i am installing XP on partition E.
How do i rename the partitions, as i cant rename a partition i am booted off ? Can you boot off CD like Solaris ?

I have a 40gb disk with C (12gig) and D (rest) on it and a 63 gig disk that has E on it.
So i will have to dig out a copy of partition magic or blow away my D (copy 20gb of data to E) and format it.
So if (when haha) i have to reinstall XP again i just format c: then.
