I installed Winfax (terrible ap) and have subsequently tried to install it but no joy from the uninstaller (it did not work).

I blew away the Winamp folder in the Programs directory, but....there are still some remnants of the programme on my PC, like the option in Outlook to invoke Winamp.

Winamp is still causing problems, such as :

<CreateProcess for C:\Program Files\Symantec\WinFax\WFXMOD32.EXE /0 failed, error = 3>

in the system event viewer (I am on 2000).

Any ideas how to get rid of Winamp completely?

Have tried installing Outlook again, no joy.

Forgive me.

You installed WinFax or WinAmp?

One is a fax program, the other a music/jukebox.

winfax is indeed crapola, I had to do a number of trouble shoots and installs for various clients (was a nightmare) though its redeeming feature is A: there is a help line with techy types at the end which can be handy and also there seems to be a reasonable amount of online support I seem to remember(which usually involves sniffing around in the registry from what I remember)
