It basically like CM2 but with better graphics, etc
Probably not worth an extra 40 odd notes if you have CM2 cause the gameplay isn't massively different. It's just evolved a little.

why wait for the PC version when you can get an X-box for less than the Geforce 4 you'd need to run it on a PC don't get me wrong the PC is good for a lot of game types but arcade/racing games isn't one of them IMHO.

Nice. Graphics and speed much improved.
You now get into progressive won of upgrade parts. Infact when you pass to the next challenge event you get something better performing (e,g. better brakes , different tyres , more powerful turbos, etc).
The realism on the driving side is improved too. You can now apply partial throttle the more you press the control button (and you will realize how useful that is).

Yes, you can have only McRae.
Moreover the settings are more slightly more limited as I explained before. You have first to win races and then you receive upgrades.
If you've played the 2 DON'T play it easy.
I finished it in 4 hours or so.
The game is already spoiled.
Try it at hard or even better Very hard. ( infact since you have to play three consequent championships if you win the first on easy it'll change automatically to hard the second one).

It is a good game. Very lacking in options and depth as i think Codies have rushed it for Xmas (and are a bit more passionate about bottom line nowadays) but it is a good fun quick rallying game.
Lots of important things missing that should have been in the game, but as I said it is really great fun for a quick hours blast around some gorgeous looking scenery. You still get the old cringe factor when you skim a tree at 100mph as well
PS I only paid £27 for it at WHSmiths so it is worth it for me. (They had an offer on near me).

Disagree Tim, I have watched all the WRC2 videos, and the cars look like they are on a scalextric track or something. They were just turning round bends, not sliding (on mud)
Hope they do a good job in the end though - would love another great rallying game

How does CMR3 (Xbox) compare to RSC (Xbox)?
I saw a preview on TV the other day and it seemed as if CMR3 had LOTS of pop-ups (Trees, etc.) in the background. Does it run smooth? With all the upcoming games for the Xbox, I could easily skip this one. Anyone?

Sorry to butt in lads, I was hoping some of you`s could help me.
I`m not clued up on computer games at all, but am I missing something obvious with this game?
I`ve a "Speedster 2" steering wheel for the Playstation 2. It plays the "WRC" game fantastically on the analogue setting. But when I put on "CM3" it automatically goes onto the digital setting, which makes it impossible to control the car. No matter what I do it won`t change to the analogue setting.
As I said am I missing something obvious?
I`d be very grateful if anyone could help.

Peter - I think codies have released it as a bare minimum. The only wheel it "supports" is the logitech thing, but not everyone can get that to work either.
