Question

I've got a CD image file - IMAGE2.img that I need to burn to a CD but it is 726meg in size. It claims to be "CD2" of three.

So the question is - are there CDRs around that have that much capacity? If so what and where please?

Or, if not, how do I get around this? (no DVDR option)

Thanks in advance,

UB

Should fit on a 80min CDR when burnt with the applicable software (CloneCD or whatever is required).

Image files tend to be much larger then the final burnt contents.

What are you trying to burn with ?

Ah, right, I was just going to use Nero or some other regular burning software. Are you saying that I need something else?

Question

Ok, but I must burn the image to the CD in a certain way? i.e. not just drag the files onto the CD as, err, files?!

You must burn it from the Image file not of the image file. If that makes sense

File, Burn CD Image otherwise

Can't remember if Nero will burn an .IMG file.

If not, what I would do is use ISOBuster to extract the files from the IMG file into a local folder, then burn the files (in the same structure) to a CD as normal. Making sure to name the title of the CD as per the original.

If you need help, let me know

Yep, I think I see. Nero won't do it. I'll try to get CloneCD sorted.

If you want to go the CloneCD route you will also need the relavent .ccd and .sub files Sorry, a pain I know.

Go for ISOBuster instead. Saves a lots of hassle.

Dunk,

All sorted now. They were CloneCD files and ISObuster can be useful to examine/extract the contents. But I now have a 3CD install of Virtual Guitarist.

...nice...

cheers
