Question

Can anyone advise? Have the following setup at home:

Cable Modem -> Wireless router -> My laptop (PCMCIA Card) + Dads laptop (PCMCIA Card)

Signal strength varies greatly throughout the house = I get poor signal where i use the computer 99.9% of the time. Moving the router is not an option. (Exceptionally good signal in the Bog BTW. ;-) = (.1%)

Thanks in advance
Paul

If the belkin wireless router/AP allows you to connect external attenas, then I would do that.

My Linksys WAP11 allows you to do just this and I picked up a desktop attena on Ebay which gave my a nice healthy 8dB gain.
