Internet Explorer is not showing the login prompt

I have found this to resolve Internet Explorer not showing the login prompt...
If Internet Explorer is not showing the login prompt at all,
Click on the "Tools" pull-down menu and select "Internet Options".
Click the "Security" tab.
Click the Internet icon, and click the "Custom Level..." button.
Scroll all the way to the bottom to the "User Authentication" section.
Under "Logon", select "Prompt for user name and password" and click OK, Yes, OK.
However, still not working any suggestions?
