... bought it... will let you know some point over the weekend what I think of it... worst case I'll trade it in for Mario Sunshine next week...

Hmm... well in short, Turok is rubbish, well in one player mode. I've never seen so many bugs in bit of software for a console.
Dinosaurs that walk in air.. a control mechanism that makes a meal out of FPS control.. and the occasional jerk as the screen fails to update properly...
Its ok in multiplayer mode, but I don't see any longevity in the game play..
I'll be taking it back this week. summary: PANTS!

I'm pretty disappointed by this game too. It would not even make the grade a couple of years ago!
Having to persevere though to finish it now that the money has been spent. Fills in the time before some decent games get released I suppose!
Cheeky sh$te in the shop said it was a cracking game too. Fool for me believing him.

I own both an XBOX and Gamecube, and one thing I've noticed is that whenver a game seems to be multiplatform (Spiderman, 007, Turok...) it seems to suck really badly.
Console specific games seem up better and much more playable.
I only own 2 GC games, Resident Evil and Wrestlemania X8, and I enjoy both of them. I checked Games release dates like for the rest of this year and there's nothing there that I particuarly want to buy (I'm not a big fan of mario)
The XBox fairs only slightly better, with Splinter Cell coming soon
