Question

We're running a large network operation and have SMS and NAV on all PC's. The problem is that we cannot locate all the PC's as some older ones have no SMS and often PC's just fall off SMS due to owners travelling. Anyone use a tool to locate PC's anywhere in the domain and do an inventory of SW, so we can check they have NAV running etc. About 15,000 PC BTW 50/50 mix of Laptop/Desktop.

Cheers

You could get a copy of ePO from McAfee. Using the ThreatScan utility you can determine which machines on your network are vulnerable to virus attack, including the simple things like no AV software. ePO manages Symantec software better than Symantec can - don't take my word for it, ask them.
