shaun, you've tried unplugging the box and plugging it back in again. I get this with CH4 & E4 all the time. It says no signal being received but a quick unplug etc and all is right again.

It's worse then NO SIGNAL......it just jumps past ITV and CH4 as they dont appear as channels. It goes straight from BBC2 to CH5.

I lost all the Film 4 channels at the weekend. Still off. No idea why?
Haven't got round to complaining yet.

Cheers guys for the help

Just phoned sky, and they told me to switch off and disconnect the scart leads and reconnect...........all fine again now.

Told me it was something to do with static build up on the scart sockets, mullering the decoder.

My digibox gets 'rebooted' at least once a week to solve various problems. The static build up gets blamed for every problem under the sun. Maybe it runs on a MS OS.

Yup, unplug/reboot seems to work with most things.

ITV and E4 are on 2d which is weaker than 2A and 2B which is why these are sometimes the first to show problems. It wouldn't surprise me if Sky News reports the war on iraq as being the fault of static build-up - its so firmly ingrained as their excuse for evrything

Static build-up on the SCART sockets? Sure it's not excessive sunspot activity, or runt packets travelling slowly uphill?

We lost the entire digital broadcast last friday. Had to revert to 'normal' telly.

Also, the program information is screwed - it shows the now/next for an hour ahead of the real time. It's been like that for weeks.

Hello All,

Where I live. The ITV channels seem to take a lot longer to appear than they use to. Mine keeps saying the No Signal message for about 30 secs then the picture appears.
It never use to do this !!

Cheers

Gary.

The ITV and Ch4 channels seem to be the weakest for some reason. In the summer months I sometimes have problems with my Sky reception due to the number of mature trees near my house. ITV, CH4, ITV2 and E4 are always the first channels to be affected. Q is by far the best.

fine here in wilts, but one thing that has changed recently is the dam listings dont update overnight So a reboot is necessary to get them. Or scrolling view the EPG listings, pain in the ****.
