What do I need to play .avi movie files dudes?

If it won't play in Windows Media Player then you need to install Divx Install, reboot, double-click the file and hey presto

Sorry to hi jack but I had a similar problem and now avi's only open in Real player, how can I make them open in Win Media player, my prefered player, I realy dont like Real !!

Dave,

Loads of ways to do it, but I would suggest:

Start Media Player
Click Options, File Types
Check the box for Video File

Just check the boxes for the files you want to associate.
