How to get 1024 x 768 resolution on monitor with 800x600 in XP? (ie, virtual desktop)

Hi,
Got a program that requires 1024x768, but my monitor can only do 800x600.
Is there not something in XP (or some download?) that will allow the window to scroll around such that I can see 1024x768 resolution???
Program has menus that I can't see at 800x600........
