Looking at one of these (probably dual 1Ghz). Any one spotted any good package deals with a nice monitor?

 

Apple used to have a deal on the on-line apple store, where when you bought a mac you got a discount on a monitor....

Try phoning round the suppliers list and see if any of them have any special deals going. More likely for new-ish kit..

 

Look up AllanB, works for MacWarehouse, does reasonable deals...

 

you can plug in any pc monitor into a mac - might be cheaper

 

We managed to get a Dual 800 MHz Mac G4 with 256 MB and OS X 9.1 for ~£1200 from action (aka insight) Might be worth seeing if there any more

The Apple monitor deal finished a while ago and only extended to the Apple branded monitors which is great if you're after an ADC ( Apple Desktop Connector) only TFT screen of the highest quality ( read price ).

I work for MacWarehouse and make sure Scoobynet discounts are applied. We have also just put together some monitor &CPU deals.

Insight are cheap no doubt but as far as I know they offer little in the way off Mac support so even if you don't use MacWarehouse stick with an Authorised Reseller , AppleCentre or Apple Premier Partner who can give you the support you might need.

Hang on there is no dual 800Mhz !! There is a single G4 800 or the dual 867, which one did you go for ?

Its the dual 867s (im not up on macs and ive not really used them much). The price of quark almost caused me to keel over though (867 ex vat)

So Allan, can you do anything with software prices ?
