a strange voice has just come out of my speakers out of the blue.
at the time i had running:
new word doc,
outlook express,
scoobynet,
kazaa lite ( no previews playing )
lasted about 4 seconds but i did'nt get chance to turn the speakers up.
I used to have norton person firewall but binned it cos it was a pain in the **** ( i know i hadn't configged it properly )
I keep reading about port scans with P2P software, is it something like this? and what is a port scan.

A port scan is exactly what it sounds like, every port on your computer is scanned to see if it's open.
Sounds like what you're experiencing is schizophrenia though. Get yourself down to your local doctors, tell him you're hearing voices in your head and he'll chuck you some brain-bending drugs, and possibly pencil in a date for some electro-shock therapy.

It was probably just your speakers picking up some radio waves. Happens a lot. Nothing to panic about.
Its when you start hearing voices and your PC is switched off you should be worried

sub 7 is a trojan it allows people with the client software to connect and control your pc as if they were sat in front of it in fact they can do more than you can, do you have a webcam if so they can watch what you are doing its quite scary.

have you install any anti-spyware? have a look at www.lavasoftusa.com, www.safersite.com and www.bullguard.com.
as for trend-micro anti-virus, make sure nothing is being download/upload to use it.
