When I right click on a folder and select properties in Win2000, nothing happens? It's ok on files though.

Any ideas?

Both?

Lots of people asking this question, not many getting answers.

Re-installing IIS v5 was reported as a fix for some people.

I had this just after installing Win2k on a new laptop. IE6 seems to have solved it, but something else may have happened. I did have ZA installed too...

Check for %temp% AND %tmp% being assigned in environment variables. Make sure your IE cache isn't full.

Damn, I wish I could remember unequivocally how I got rid of this exact same problem... Sorry Cem.

hmm, that could be it y'know. I downgraded from ZA 3 to 2.6 and I *think* that helped. But I tried so many things...

Couple things to look at:

Try disabling the "run at start up" option for zone alarm, and running it once the machine has booted, this sometimes cures this prob...

Also see if your WWW publishing service starts correctly, disabling this service can also cure this sometimes...

Also try the keyboard shortcut (Alt + Enter) on a folder(just to eliminate it from the equation)
