Heard that my brother is out of work again. Last company he was working for didn't get a decent contract renewed, so had to let him go.
I'm not in the computing game myself, so I can't describe his expertise very well, but can anyone here use or place a PC technician based in NW London? From what I understand, he was travelling around troubleshooting on small networks, I think he said his real expertise was when someone had bought an HP scanner, a Compaq printer and a Tosh laptop and they wouldn't talk to each other. Last job was HP parts break/fix engineer, soon to be moved to the "we haven't got a clue what's wrong with it" department, ie not just routine fixing but brain-racking stuff.
Good points; glowing ref from last employer, dedicated, lives and breathes computers
Not so good points; no university degree (doesn't like following academic rules), doesn't like wearing a suit, doesn't like working in central London (did it for two years, but it might have been the co. not the job he didn't get on with)
Anyone got any contacts I could pass to him?
Thanks in advance
Brendan
