I really like this game but not sure if i have found a bug or my xbox is knackered

twice i have got the mission where you get the grenade launcher and hellfire missiles (i think it was hellfire) only for the xbox to lock up where it loads the mission briefing (green multilingual text screen and red flasing button on console).

On a reboot the game reports a corrupted save game (on hard disk)and i have to start all over

Anyone else experience this?

i doubt its the console itself since i got 7 other games with no problems at all saving an the fact it has happenned twice in exactly the same point in the game makes me think its a bug.

Any help would be appreciated - thought saving to a memory card instead might help but £30 on a hunch..
